yea, but pony riders on the east coast have had to ship all the way DOWN to Kentucky for a few years now...and the HITS facility is really great for big events. I can't imagine junior hunter finals anywhere else...plus the town of suagerties is so small i doubt it would ever seem busy. it is nothing like New York City, in my opinion lol.

ya but then if it got moved west coast pony riders would have to ship all the way across the country rather then half way

well , actually a lot of west coast people go , for example claim to fame and shennanigins were both west coast ponies , even though there owner did not show both of them in the years they went they still had to truck the ponies and had to fly there to be there to watch and those were two of the TOP competitors from the past few years. and by moving the location it would just make it even harder and more rare to see california ( west coast people) at PFS it should be equal for everyone to go , after all it isnt called east coast pony finals. also if you have ever been to a west coast pony finals , yes it is a big deal to win but there are 20 ponies AT MOST in each division and it just like all the other shows ( it has some changes , like grace field a little more then the average in each division ) but other wise it just feels like the other shows. and also for kids who have ponies who cant qualifiy for devon or indoors but would still like to get the traveling oppurtunities then pony finals is a good start. im just saying by moving it its going to seperate the west and east coast riders even more then it is already

That is, of course, if they actually move it. Given all the negative feedback from exhibitors about HITS this year, I highly doubt that the USEF will move PF there unless Tom Struzzieri makes some serious changes. That's pretty unlikely, given that he thinks that all his new footing is great. I'm sure that the USEF is considering everything that you guys are upset about. Whether New York makes an offer or not doesn't make it final.

It is true that actually quite a few people from over here go as well as from utah, etc. Also, saying that West Coast Pony Finals/Zone 10 Pony Finals is anything like going to real pony finals is not correct... it's more like a practice for regular pony finals if that... I think the large division only had 12 entries this year at Zone X's... so it would suck but I guess the real question is if you are going to ship across to Kentucky anyways, New York isn't that much worse... Like I'm sure we would still go anyways... it's more for the experience anyways than the ease to get there...

ya zone 10 fs/west coast is so much fun but its not that pony finals experiance. so im just saying we shouldnt be excluding the west coast people even if a small amount ago

yeah. i didnt mean that zone x shouldnt go at all, but i didnt really understand what west coast pony finals was about anyway. i think kentucky is the best place for it anyway. because the facility is so big.

just to let all of u guys know they HAD to find a new location for pony finals for the next 2 years bc of the 2010 WEG bc they will have tons of construction all next year and then in 2010 they dont want pony finals there bc of the games and i hope i dont do pony finals next year but if it was in saugerties that would suck bc in my opinion i never really liked that showgrounds and now its a recommended requirement that they have an indoor for weather purposes and they dont have one......
